eclipse east idaho

A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between Earth and the sun, blocking the sun’s light and casting a shadow over Earth. Many who have witnessed total solar eclipses describe them as among the most spectacular things they have ever seen.

The last total solar eclipse to touch the continental US was in 1979, and the next will be in 2024, but it will only be visible between Texas and Maine. The last total solar eclipse to pass over Idaho Falls was in 1889, and the next won’t be until 2252.
