POCATELLO – Brooklyn’s Playground is a project to build an inclusive playground so that kids of all abilities will finally be able to play together.
11 percent of students in the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District – nearly 3,000 children – have a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act. But our community has no all-inclusive playground where these children can improve their physical, cognitive and social skills side-by-side with their non-disabled playmates in an inclusive environment.
If you would like to donate to this great project you can go to the contribute page of the Brooklyn’s Playground website.
Brooklyn’s Playground is a finalist in a national video contest sponsored by KaBOOM! The video that receives the most votes on the KaBoom! website through May 10 will receive a $15,000 grant for the purchase of playground equipment. Go support Brooklyn’s Playground and VOTE HERE.
